Open Letter-Petition to President Barack Obama
The Science Behind the Epidemic of Violence
"...The typical American child will view more than 200,000 acts of violence, including more than 16,000 murders before age 18. Television programs display 812 violent acts per hour; children's programming, particularly cartoons, displays up to 20 violent acts hourly...." ??
While guns, built by human hands, are the visible weapon most often
used in the corner to corner, park to park, school campus to school campus murders of our children, we must not allow this political party, that political agenda, or our being painfully victimized, to be cause for us to fix our eyes on the wrong weapon. While we are proponents of any and all legislation that promotes the well-being and safety of society, God forbid we forsake wisdom--wisdom that guns cannot make a decision to do a neighborhood drive-by; nor can guns plot a school campus massacre.
used are unseen; i.e., music, spoken words and vocalized lyrics; neither of which can be seen; and, each of which is a form of sound, the creative force of enery and light which created all in the beginning and yet creates.
The absolute truth of the matter is the weapons most often
Mr. President, the science of the epidemic of violence causing our childr en to murder and be murdered is the widely practiced, scientifically proven process of brainwave entrainment; the electrical response of the brain to rhythm.
As it is with the velocity of the unseen wind,
the electrical response of the brain can be measured by man-made machines, but the impact, the damage to the brain, the encoded messages occurrence of entrainment is unseen.
Created for and used primarily for the good (relaxation, meditation, concentration, etc.) entrainment works equally for the outcome of good and evil.
No doubt it will be good news to know infomation as to the science of this epidemic of violence is at your fingertips. Please be referred to the Library of Congress' ("LOC") presentation of "Music and the Brain"; a series of enlightening discussions: (The World in Six Songs ??, Depression and Creativity Symposium ??, The Mind of an Artist ??, From Mode to Emotion in Musical Communication ??,

Conversation With Dafnis Prieto and Larry Appelbaum ??), and Music, Criminal Behavior,
and Crime Prevention ??, the March 13 2009 discussion eloquently hosted by LOC's Norman Middleton, and dynamically presented by
Out of sight is not out of mind. The above statistical data is from a 2009 article by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The more than 200,000 acts of violence, including 16,000 acts of murder were recorded and permanently stored on their brain. The violent acts being imaged while children are watching cartoons are being recorded and are being permanently stored on their brain.
Jacqueline Helfgott, Professor and Chair of the Criminal justice Department, Seattle, Washington.
Professor Helfgott's explanation of the criminology and science behind the various kinds and effects of music attests to the two-edged sword of music, i.e., its bad use giving rise to criminal behavior, and its good use as crime prevention.
LOC's Norman Middleton gives accounts of speaking with West Palm Beach law enforcement detectives who acknowledge using classical music to quell drug activity; and attest to its effectiveness. The West Palm Beach force informed Norman it had recently heard of the practice at a law enforcement seminar.
Mr. Middleton acknowledges reading of several other law enforement agencies and security entities worldwide which have used the same technique for quelling crime, including Tacoma, Washington, which is Dr, Helfgott's territory.
